Israel’s future is all bound up with the promises the God of Israel has made to His people.
All these promises are found in the Bible and every one will be fulfilled. In 70 AD after the Lord Jesus died and rose again, the Temple was destroyed, animal sacrifice ended and the Jewish people were scattered to the four corners of the earth. The Lord Jesus prophesied this would happen in Luke 21: 5 - 24.
The books of Moses, the Prophets, and Psalmists of Israel all spoke not only of a coming Messiah who would pay for our sins, (Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22 amongst 300 prophecies) but of dispersion and also re-gathering back to the Land of Israel at the appointed time for the Jewish people.
The Lord Jesus said:-
"Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled is fulfilled."
Luke 21: 24.
Jerusalem has been trampled down by the gentile nations for 2000 years. Even in the time of Jesus it was ruled by the Roman armies and before that other occupying powers.
In fulfilment of the scriptures, Jewish people have been re-gathered in the last seventy or more years from over a hundred countries of the world. See Jeremiah 16: 14 -15 and Isaiah 43: 5-6.

This is in preparation for the time when the Messiah will reign from Jerusalem and all the nations of the earth will go up to Jerusalem to worship Him. See Zechariah 14: 16-21.
Before that day happens, Jerusalem will be a burdensome stone burdening all nations. There will be a time of great trouble such has never has been or will be again. The Jewish people will look on the one whom they have pierced and mourn for Him as an only son. The Holy Spirit will be poured out on those in Israel who call on Yeshua their Messiah, and they will be given a spirit of grace and supplication. See Zechariah 12.
The nations of the world will gather against God’s Holy City, and the Almighty will enter into judgement against them for dividing up His land. See Joel 3: 1 - 2. He will fight against those nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat between Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives. Jehoshaphat means Jah is judge.
In Zechariah 14: 3 – 9 we read about that time of trouble. The Messiah will come and His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. There will be no more day or night He will be King over the whole earth and His Name One. All those who call on the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved and live with him for eternity. He is the Saviour of the world, the one who has paid the price of the sins of both Jew and Gentile.
The Messiah will reign on the earth for 1000 years. See Revelation 20. Then will come the new heavens and the new earth where peace and righteousness will reign forever. See Revelation 21 – 22.
They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light.
And they shall reign forever and ever.
Revelation 22:4 - 5.
There have been Christian’s in earlier years who read the scriptures and knew fervently the truth of the Apostle Paul’s writings to the Romans.
I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not!
For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew.
Romans 11:1-2.
Today they would rejoice that Israel is a sovereign nation once more and the great fulfilment of all the purposes of God for her people and land are drawing near to fulfilment.
"While the nations of Europe are absorbed in political conflicts and worldly business, the sands in their hour-glass are ebbing away. While governments are disputing about secular things, and parliaments can hardly condescend to find a place for religion in their discussions, their days are numbered in the sight of God. Yet a few years and the ‘times of the Gentiles will be fulfilled’. Their day of visitation will be past and gone. Their misused privileges will be taken away. The judgements of God will fall upon them. They shall be cast aside as vessels in which God has no pleasure. Their dominion shall crumble away, and their vaunted institutions shall fall to pieces. The Jews shall be restored. The Lord Jesus shall come again in power and great glory. The Kingdoms of this world shall become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ (Messiah), and the ‘times of the Gentiles’ shall come to an end."

Here are a few of those who believed the promises of God to the Jewish people.

Zion’s king shall reign victorious,
All the earth shall own His sway;
He will make His kingdom glorious, He will reign through endless day.
What though none on earth assist Him, God requires not help from man;
What though all the world resist Him, God will realize His plan.
Nations now from God estrangèd, Then shall see a glorious light, Night to day shall then be changèd, Heaven shall triumph in the sight;
See the ancient idols falling! Worshipped once, but now abhorred; Men on Zion’s king are calling, Zion’s king by all adored.
Then shall Israel, long dispersèd, Mourning seek the Lord their God, Look on Him whom once they piercèd, Own and kiss the chastening rod;
Then all Israel shall be savèd, War and tumult then shall cease, While the greater Son of David Rules a conquered world in peace.
Almighty God of love, Set up the attracting sign, And summon whom thou dost approve For messengers divine;
From favoured Abraham's seed The new apostles choose, In isles and continents to spread The dead-reviving news.
Them, snatched out of the flame, Through every nation send, The true Messiah to proclaim, The universal friend;
That all the God unknown May learn of Jews to adore, And see thy glory in thy Son, Till time shall be no more.
O that the chosen band Might now their brethren bring, And, gathered out of every land, Present to Zion's King!
Of all the ancient race Not one be left behind, But each, impelled by secret grace, His way to Canaan find.
We know it must be done, For God hath spoke the word: All Israel shall the Saviour own, To their first state restored;
Rebuilt by his command, Jerusalem shall rise; Her temple on Moriah stand Again, and touch the skies.
Send then thy servants forth, To call the Hebrews home; From East, and West, and South, and North, Let all the wanderers come;
Where'er in lands unknown The fugitives remain, Bid every creature help them on, Thy holy mount to gain.
An offering to their God, There let them all be seen, Sprinkled with water and with blood, In soul and body clean;
With Israel's myriads sealed, Let all the nations meet, And show the mystery fulfilled, Thy family complete!
